‘Polvorones’, a classic Christmas treat, have been a very traditional shortbread-like cookie in Spain and Latin America for centuries. Thanks to La Chinata, they are now available all year long!
They are made using their very best Extra Virgin Olive Oil, in the traditional style, by combining flour, cinnamon, sugar and almonds.
They belong to the well-known ‘Mantecados’, also made with almonds, but in a different proportion. They have an elongated shape, and are crumbly and covered in sugar.
They are the perfect accompaniment for tea and coffee, but they can also be eaten on their own as an appetizer between meals or for dessert.
